Erin Salimena was named a 2026 Regional Winner in the BlueStar Kitchen Design Contest for “Abernethy Vintage,” a kitchen addition to a 1908 Portland home. The goal was to bring in modern comforts while keeping the house’s vernacular Victorian charm, so we paired the home’s original trim details and proportions with new custom cabinetry, a walk-in pantry, and a central island made for gathering.
